Court Rules in WDD’s Favor, Denying Ford Motor Company’s Motions

Williams Dirks Dameron successfully argued against Ford Motor Company’s Motion to Compel Arbitration and Motion to Dismiss. This week the Court denied both motions, allowing the car owners’ claims to proceed.

The case alleges that automobiles with the same Ford 1.0L EcoBoost engine have the same defect in the engine oil pump system, which ultimately causes engine failure.

The affected vehicles include:

·      2016-2017 Ford Fiesta,

·      2018-2021 Ford EcoSport, and

·      2016-2018 Ford Focus.

WDD and its clients filed suit on behalf of all current and former owners or lessees of the vehicles in Missouri.
