Williams Dirks Dameron has filed a class action against Rust-Oleum on behalf of consumers who purchased  Rust-Oleum's Restore products, specifically, Rust-Oleum Deck Start Wood Primer, Restore 2X One Coat Solid Stain, and Restore 4X Deck Coat. The suit alleges that Rust-Oleum knowingly sold products more prone to chipping, peeling and flaking than comparable wood resurfacing products, that deteriorate more quickly than comparable products and that do not provide enhanced protection despite a premium price charged for Restore products.
