Cory was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and though he was raised in Oklahoma, he still considers himself a native Kansas Citian.  Cory attended Graceland University where he was active in the student government and was elected to the position of Student Academic President. Cory graduated from Graceland with a Bachelors in Philosophy and Religion in 2009.

 

After graduating, Cory attended Seminary at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated with his Master in Theological Studies in 2012.  After a few years as a young adult minister, Cory attended the University of Kansas City- Missouri School of Law and graduated in 2019. While in law school, Cory spent time volunteering with Legal Aid of Western Missouri and interning with Shepherd Elder Law Group, LLC, where he continued to work after graduation.

 

Cory lives in North Kansas City with his wife, Jessica, and his cat Milo. In their free time, Cory and Jessica love to travel, hike, and explore the outdoors. They also love going on bike rides on many of the local Kansas City area trails and cooking new and exciting recipes together.
